On Friday, the entire school will be going to enjoy Nanny McPhee at the Tivoli. Hot lunch will be available, however, we will be eating a bit earlier. Lunch will be from 10:45 - 11:15 in our classrooms.
Homeroom
We are going to focus on Science this week so that we can finish our energy and ecosystems unit before break. After examining food webs, the energy pyramid and natural cycles of ecosystems, we will test on chapter 5 on Thursday, March 26.
On Thursday afternoon, our class will be designing various scenes using geometric shapes during our in-school GeoSpace field trip. Much of what we have learned in math will be applied.
Math
We began adding and subtracting fractions - with like and unlike denominators - last week. This week, we will find sums and differences of mixed numbers. On Thursday, we will take a quiz/test on these skills. No math classes will be held on Wednesday or Friday.
Language Arts
China brochures are due on Monday. Students have had plenty of time to work on this project in class. Throughout the week, we will work on our narrative writing as we compose our "All About Me" projects.
Lesson 23 in spelling will be tested this week.
No language arts classes will be held on Thursday of this week.
Have a good one!
