Week of December 1

A quick update on the week we return from Thanksgiving break:


Parent/Teacher Conferences are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening. (Email me if you need a reminder about time/date.)

NO SCHOOL ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 5!!
YEARBOOK ORDERS ARE DUE ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 1.



Next week in a nutshell:




Homeroom

We are going to find out what happened when the French explored the Mississippi and the learn about the the French and Indian War in Social Studies.


In Science, we are going to review kinetic and potential energy look at energy transfer.




Math

We will be looking at decimal place value, equivalent decimals, and comparing and ordering decimals. This concept will be much more concrete than the concepts covered over the last several weeks and will be a breath of fresh air for the students (and their teacher).

Language Arts Group

In Reading, we will continue with inferring. In English, we will be starting verbs. In Spelling, we are testing on Lesson 13 on Thursday, December 4.
