When we return, this is what to expect:
MATH
Our class is going to continue the study of fractions. There will be a test on this chapter (18) on Thursday, 4/5. Please work on division 3 facts over break. These will also be tested on Thursday, 4/5.
READING
Our class will focus on nonfiction text (Science and Social Studies books) over the next couple weeks. We will summarize and identify main ideas. In addition, we will be practicing our fluency with various reader's theater scripts. Each student will also begin choosing their own vocabulary words from their Good Fit Books. They will learn the definition, find a synonym and antonym, and draw a picture to show the meaning of the word. Then they will be quizzed orally to determine if they have actually learned the word's meaning.
ENGLISH
Our class will be reviewing capitalization and punctuation rules in unit 5 of our English books.
SPELLING
List 18 homework and final test is on Thursday, 4/5.
SCIENCE
We will be exploring our inner and outer planets.
SOCIAL STUDIES
We will continue our study of Chicago.
