Our Valentine's Party is scheduled for Friday, February 13 at 1:30. I will be sending home a class list to use in addressing valentine's.
Although it was chilly on Wednesday at Naper Settlement, they did a wonderful job of keeping us indoors and filling our heads with colonial knowledge. I think our students realized just how easy they have it living in the 21st century.

Here is the week in a nutshell:
Homeroom
There is a Social Studies test scheduled for Tuesday, February 10. A Science test is soon after, scheduled for Thursday, February 12.
Math
We just finished up fractions and are moving into geometry this week. In particular, we will be exploring points, lines, segments, angles, polygons and circles. A review quiz on Lessons 1-5 in Chapter 18 is scheduled for Friday, February 13.
Language Arts
Our strategy focus is on connecting this week in reading. In addition to that, we will be finishing up with our summary songs of The Wish Giver and prepping for the ISATs. In Spelling, we will be testing on lesson 19. We are going to continue implementing writer's workshop in English as well.
Have a great week!
