Week of February 16

No school on Monday, February 16!

Here is the upcoming week in a nutshell:

Homeroom
In Science, we just finished our sound unit and will be beginning the unit on light. Some neat experiments are included!
We also just finished up discussing the start of the Revolutionary War in Social Studies, next we will be talking about winning the war.
Very often in both of these subjects, we take notes on the important details of our reading and class discussions. It is very beneficial for students to review these notes regularly to become familiar with the materia prior to the test date.
Language Arts
We are going to continue making connections to the text we read as well as making progress in our writing workshop. The Abe Lincoln essay is due on Wednesday, February 18.
Lesson 20 in Spelling will be tested this week.
Math
To continue our Geometry unit, students will learn about congruent and similar figures, symmetry, explore circles and be tested on Friday, February 20.
Have a great week!
