WEEK OF 3/9-3/13

Important Dates:

Mon. 3/9, Wed. 3/11, and Fri. 3/13 - PARCC Reading tests 
3/19 - EARLY DISMISSAL

Math:

We will continue our work with fractions. This week we will be discussing adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers. We will be finishing the fraction unit this week. Our unit test will be on Tuesday, March 17th.

Spelling: 

We will not have spelling this week due to PARCC testing. We will continue with spelling list 21 next week.

Social Studies:

We have completed our unit on immigration. We will be starting our unit on Chicago this week.

Science:

We have begun our work with heat, light, and sound (Chapter 14). We will take our lesson 2 (light) quiz on Tuesday, March 10th.

Language Arts:

WE WILL be finishing OUR TRADITIONS UNIT. THIS WEEK WE WILL CONTINUE OUR WORK WITH The Matchbox Diary. WE WILL ALSO be completing our work with verbs. We will have our verbs quiz on Tuesday, March 10th. We will then begin our work with adjectives.
