Here is our upcoming week in a nutshell:
MATH
There is a 2's multiplication test on Friday, 11/9. There is a CYP on chapter 4; lessons 1-6 on Tuesday, 11/13.
READING
Our class will be exploring synonym analogies throughout this week and next. This will take the place of any spelling lessons, tests, or homework. In addition, we will continue working on using context clues to determine the meaning of an unfamiliar word, visualizing and determining cause and effect.
ENGLISH
We have begun our nouns unit and there will be a graded review of lessons 1-3 in chapter 2 on Thursday, 11/8. This will include common and proper nouns and nouns in the subject.
SPELLING
None throughout this week or next due to our analogy study.
SOCIAL STUDIES
There will be a Downers Grove quiz on Friday, 11/9. Students have a study guide and a packet which has been hilited to indicate important information which will be found on the test.
SCIENCE
There will be a chapter 4 test on Monday, 11/19. I do not like giving tests on Mondays, however, we have a field trip scheduled for Tuesday and I'd like the students to be able to wrap up the chapter before Thanksgiving.
