Social Studies:

This week we began our Culture Day presentations. We have all enjoyed learning more about various cultures and are excited to see what the rest of the class has to share with us this week! We will have our lesson 4 quiz on Friday 2/20. our chapter 3 test will likely be during the week of February 23. 

Science:

WE have just completed our WORK ON CHAPTER 11 (MATTER). Our next unit will be about heat, light, and sound.

Language Arts:

WE WILL CONTINUE OUR TRADITIONS UNIT. THIS WEEK WE WILL finish OUR WORK WITH THE STORY WHEN LIGHTNING COMES IN A JAR BY PATRICIA POLACCO. our Keeping Quilt and When Lightning Comes in a Jar quiz will be on Wednesday 2/18. We will begin a new story, Throw Your Tooth on a Roof. WE WILL ALSO CONTINUE OUR FOCUS ON VERBS AND PREFIXES/SUFFIXES.

Other News:

Thank you to the parents who donated food and volunteered to help out at our Valentine's Day party. We had so much fun!
