MATH
We will spend time reviewing front-end estimation with fractions. Students will practice adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators. A CYP covering Chapter 9 Lessons 6-8 will be given on Friday, April 26. Divided by 11's test will also be given on Friday.
ENGLISH
We will continue our friendly letter unit this week. Students will begin writing letters to their 2nd grade pen pals. A test will be given on Friday, April 24; students will need to identify the 5 parts of a letter and proofread mistakes in a letter.
SCIENCE
We are wrapping up our Space Unit! Students will complete a graded review on Chapter 10 Lesson 3 on Monday, April 22. Wednesday we will review for the final test. Friday, April 26 students will take a test covering everything in Chapter 10. Study guides have already been provided.
SOCIAL STUDIES
We are wrapping up our Chicago Unit! We will spend Monday reviewing for Test 3. Students will take the last Chicago Test on Wednesday, April 24. Study guides have already been provided.
READING
Ask your child what a "Jackdaw" is. They will be making a jackdaw on a book of their choice this week!
