ISAT Testing:
Third grade has decided to hold the tests over a two-week period to avoid fatigue and restlessness. The testing dates are during the first and second weeks of March:
Tues. 3/5, Wed. 3/6, Thurs. 3/7, ; and on Tues. 3/12, Wed. 3/13, Thurs. 3/14 from 8:00 - 10:00. Please make sure students are well rested and have eaten a healthy breakfast.
MATH
We will spend Tuesday reviewing Chapter 6 and doing hands on activities.
Wednesday, February 20 we will take a CYP covering Lessons 1-14 in Chapter 6.
Thursday we will review again.
Friday, February 22 students will take a test on Chapter 6.
Students are expected to study their division facts at home.
A timed test on 6's will be given Friday, February 22.
ISAT's are just around the corner.
To prepare the students we have been practicing extended responses.
ENGLISH
Students will spend time in the computer lab typing their autobiography.
This is an in school project, it should not be worked on at home.
SCIENCE
Students will be taking a test on Chapter 14 on Friday, February 22.
SOCIAL STUDIES
We will be wrapping up our unit on immigration.
We will take our test Wednesday, February 27.
SPELLING
No spelling this week! We will continue our unit on prefixes and suffixes.
READING
As we prepare for ISAT's, we will be reviewing several important reading skills and strategies.
