Here is the upcoming week in a nutshell:

MATH

We are beginning chapter 5 on division this week.  There will be a x4 test on Friday.

READING

We are continuing with the story The Keeping Quilt.  Students will take a vocabulary test on Wednesday on the words from this story.  We will also practice writing extended responses.

ENGLISH

Students will begin exploring verbs in unit 3 this week.

SPELLING

Monday:  Pretest on List 11 (vowel sound in clown)

Homework - cursive worksheet for all students

Tuesday:  Homework for non-challenge - ABC order in Spelling Journal

Homework for challenge - Activity 1 in Spelling Journal

Wednesday:  Homework for non-challenge - workbook pages 202 & 203 in volume 1 reading practice workbook

Homework for challenge - Activity 2 in Spelling Journal

Friday:  Final list 11 test

SCIENCE

Our class will continue investigating MATTER.

SOCIAL STUDIES

We will be discussing local government in chapter 12.
