| Guinness had his first day of school on Tuesday. |
Our class will go on a bowling field trip on Monday, December 17th. You can send your child with money if they would like to buy a snack at the bowling alley. Please send your child with a sack lunch on this day.
On Friday, December 21st, the entire school will be going to the Tivoli to watch the movie Polar Express . A permission slip was sent home. Please send this permission slip back by Friday, December 14th.
Winter Break is through December 22 - January 6.
Here is our upcoming week in a nutshell:
MATH
Our class will have a x6,7,8 test on Friday, 12/14. There is a CYP on chapter 5, lessons 1-6 on Tuesday, 12/11.
READING
We will focus on character, setting, and plot. We will also work on the reading strategy of visualizing. We will use the story Dogzilla as well as other novels and text as we apply these skills. Students will receive vocabulary words on Monday, December 10th. There will be a vocabulary test and comprehension check on Thursday, December 13th. At the end of the week students will complete an activity "Santa Cause" which will allow students to come up with funny situations Santa gets into showing cause and effect.
ENGLISH
We will continue the study of verbs in unit 3.
