MATH
Students may retake the divided by 4 test up until Thursday, 5/3. The divided by 5 test is on Friday, 5/4. On Monday, we are testing on Chapter 23which will include multiplication of 10 and 100; estimating products, multiplying 2-digit numbers and multiplying 3-digit numbers.
READING
We are going to wrap up our poetry unit this week with a poetry quiz on Tuesday, 5/1 and a graded poetry reading on Wednesday, 5/2. Then we are going to begin our magic unit which allows students to practice fluency and comprehension.
SPELLING
The lesson 24 pretest (contractions) is on Monday. Workbook pages 209-210, ABC order and the cursive worksheet is due on Friday when we take our test.
ENGLISH
Students will be taking the unit 5 test on capitalization and punctuation test on Friday, 5/4. We will also begin our expository writing unit.
SOCIAL STUDIES
We will finish up lesson 4 this week and take the chapter 3 test on Wednesday, 5/9. Culture Day presentations will begin on Monday, 5/7. Please have your child turn in their presentation idea by Monday, 4/30.
SCIENCE
We are going to begin chapter 14 on heat, light and sound this week.
