Our class has been going outside to hold class and enjoy the weather as much as possible. I imagine that a 5th grader's Spring Fever is much greater than mine!
Please remember that Thursday, April 24 is an early dismissal day. Math classes will not be held that day.
On Friday, the theme is decade day. Dress up as people would have in the 40's, 50's or 60's.
I hope you enjoyed Open House as much as I did. It was so nice to see so many parents come out and visit our classroom. Thanks for stopping in!
For the upcoming week, we will be involved in the following:
In Reading, we will continue to work on our Poetry Anthologies. We will be specifically looking at limerick, clerihew, ballad, alliteration, and synonym poetry.
Lesson 27 test in Spelling is scheduled for Friday.
English - reviewing prepositions and prepositional phrases and practicing writing with them.
Social Studies - After discussing Lewis and Clark and reviewing, we will be taking a chapter 11 test on Tuesday, May 6.
Science - We've made parachutes, next will be kites. There will be a quiz on activites 1-6 on Wednesday and students will be able to use their books.
I hope you have a wonderful week!
