In Reading, we are finishing up China and will begin our poetry unit. If you have any poems that you would like to share with our class, please send them in! Students must have their April book report book approved by Friday, April 11. The presidential posters are due on May 2.
In Social Studies, we just finished Chapter 10. In Chapter 11, we will be discussing George Washington as president and practice our note taking skills.In English, we are reviewing adverbs, as well as, writing poetry. Our final product will be our very own hardcover Book of Poetry.
In Science, we are beginning our Flight and Rocketry unit. We will be making our own parachutes and testing out their flight ability. In addition, we are learning about the four forces of flight and the properties of air.My math group: We just finished Chapter 6 - long division and I'm sure the students are very upset about this. Our next chapter, 8, will have us multiplying and dividing decimals. A checkpoint quiz is scheduled for Friday, April 18. The chapter test won't be until Wednesday, April 23rd or so.
