Week of March 17, 2014

Hi parents,

Just a reminder that ISAT testing is over.  I am so proud of all of the students who did a wonderful job and were very responsible with the test.

Next week, there is NO SCHOOL on Monday or Tuesday.

Here is our upcoming week in a nutshell:

MATH
Students will all be at different places in math.  Some students are going to be spending class time mastering the math facts they have not passed yet.  Others will be returning to their volume 1 book and others will be continuing in their volume 2 book.  Please watch their planners carefully for any upcoming due dates and test dates.
I showed students how to access their book online today.  They also have a document in google docs I shared with them giving directions in which they can refer to.

READING/ENGLISH
Students are going to continue their study of prefixes and suffixes, adjectives and adverbs and will completing their autobiography stories which you will be able to read during Open House on May 1.

SPELLING
There is no spelling this week due to the shortened week.

SOCIAL STUDIES
There will be a Chicago 2 test on Friday, 3/21.  Study guides went home today.

SCIENCE
