Week of April 12

Friday morning, students and parents attended the Too Good For Drugs Graduation ceremony. It was wonderful to see so many parents come out to support our students in their pledge against drugs, alcohol and peer pressure. Deputy Kotovsky does such a fantastic job with our students; we certainly miss him at the end of the program.

Here is the upcoming week in a nutshell:

MATH
Due to GeoSpace in our classrooms, we will only have math on Thursday and Friday. On Thursday, we will be reviewing chapter 22, lessons 1-3 in preparation for our open book quiz on these lessons on Friday. Next week, we will be continuing with chapter 22 while addressing customary weight and capacity and metric capacity and mass.

LANGUAGE ARTS
The final test for lesson 25 will be on Thursday, April 15.
In reading, we will continue reinforcing all of the strategies we have previously covered with books each student has chosen to read.
In English, we will begin working with pronouns and continue improving our writing skills. I would like to have the menus and adjective books completed by the end of the week.
SOCIAL STUDIES
We have wrapped up chapter 10 and will be testing on Wednesday, April 14. Important books will be handed back to use at part of the students' study guide.
SCIENCE
As we continue working through chapter 14, our next lesson focuses on solids, liquids and gases and physical properties and changes.
I hope you have a great week!
