Center Cass School District #66 is in the process of implementing an Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) mandate, Response to Intervention (RTI). RTI is an array of procedures that can be used to determine if and how students respond to specific changes in instruction. RTI provides an improved process and structure for school teams in designing, implementing, and evaluating educational interventions.
Please look for the additional information on RTI, which will be included with your child’s end of the year Report Card.
The upcoming week is very busy. Remember, there is no school on Monday, May 26 in observance of Memorial Day.

On Tuesday, 5th grade is going to Robert Crowne in the morning. Students need to bring a sack lunch on this day! On Thursday, 5th grade is going bowling in the morning. There won't be any Math classes held on these days.
On Friday afternoon, the fifth graders will be participating in our annual 5th grade "dance". Friday is also "wear your favorite t-shirt" day.
In Reading, our class will be finishing Holes and completing various book projects.
In Science, I have a very special activity planned. We are going to dissect owl pellets! Can't wait!
In Social Studies, the Chapter 12 test will be on Wednesday, May 28.
My math group has a quiz on Wednesday, May 28 on subtracting and adding fractions, as well as, converting mixed numbers to improper fractions, and improper fractions to mixed numbers.
Have a wonderful week!
