Week of February 18

Important dates to remember: No school on Monday, February 18
Social Studies Revolutionary War projects are due on Tuesday, February 19.
Last TGFD is on Tuesday, February 20. Graduation is on Friday, March 7 at 12:50.
Bingo Night is Friday, February 22.
Spring Pictures on are Thursday, February 28.
End of Trimester 2 is on Friday, February 29.
February Book Reports are due on Tuesday, March 4 - how's your child's pacing?

The students did very well during Iowa week! I'm so proud of their hard work!



Social Studies: We will be completing a circle book on Lesson 3 of chapter 9 which covers help from other nations, victory at Yorktown and the Treaty of Paris. A test is currently scheduled for Wednesday, February 27.

Science: We will be learning about the Beaufort Wind Scale and evaporation. Last week, we went outside to determine what type of snowflakes were falling.

English: If we haven't already done so, we will be finishing up our Persuasive Essays and starting our Narrative Essays.

Reading: We will practice making inferences, conclusions and generalizations. In addition, we will draw conclusions from maps, comparing themes and determining author's purpose.

Spelling: Lesson 20 - words ending with -ary test on Friday.

My Math Group: We will be covering metric units of length, metric units of capacity and metric units of mass. A quiz is scheduled for Friday, February 22.
