Week of October 20

Looking ahead to next week, there are a lot of exciting things going on!

First, our class will be celebrating our magazine drive totals with a PIZZA PARTY!  Pizza will be served during lunch on Wednesday, October 22.

On Friday, October 24, our class will be visiting the zoo!  Please keep an eye on the weather so you can dress your student accordingly.  A sack lunch is needed and we will not be purchasing anything from the gift shop or at the various snack vendors, so no money is needed for this field trip.

Due to the field trips third grade is taking next week, there will not be math on Tuesday or Friday.

Here is our upcoming week in a nutshell:

MATH
Did you get an explanation of what an expanded algorithm is?  Our class knows what this is and will gladly explain!  We are in chapter 3 now which is using place value to add and subtract.  Our fact test is on Thursday of next week due to field trips.  Remember, your child is choosing the fact they test on each week.
