Monday - Pretest
Homework - Everyone does the cursive worksheet
Tuesday -
Homework - Challenge students complete a challenge activity in their spelling journal
Non-challenge students complete ABC order in their spelling journal
Wednesday -
Homework - Challenge students complete their second and final challenge activity in their spelling journal
Non-challenge students complete 10 sentences (with all 20 words included) in their spelling journal
Thursday -
Students prepare for the final test
Friday - Final test for list 4
My Math Class
Our class is AWESOME and we are in the full swing of things. A few reminders: There will be an addition fact test on Friday, 9/19. The chapter 1 test is scheduled for Tuesday, 9/23.
One mathematical to focus on and master this week: "I can solve problems without giving up" Allow your child to persevere through math work. Don't "take away their struggle"; it's where the best learning happens.
My English/Language Arts Class
We were SO excited to begin The One and Only Ivan. This will be the text we will read over the course of the next several weeks to put our reading strategies to work.
Our focus is on complete sentences, subjects and predicates. Students will be ready to test on this unit (unit 1) on Thursday, 9/25.
Science Class
We started our study of ecosystems and are will be exploring the vocabulary related to this unit.
Social Studies Class
After finishing the directions unit, we have begun our study of the continents and oceans. Currently, the test on this unit is scheduled for Friday, 9/26.
