I have contacted the families I felt it would be beneficial to conference with in order to discuss your child's progress. If I have not contacted you and you feel a conference is necessary, please email me so we can set up a meeting. Conference week is Monday, April 8 - Wednesday, April 10.
EARLY DISMISSAL TUESDAY, MARCH 19.
Spring Picture packets are due back by March 20. Please send the packets or order in with your child.
ISATs are OVER! Our students did a fantastic job of reading through each question, remaining focused and taking their time. I'm very proud of their efforts!
Here is our upcoming week in a nutshell:
MATH
This week, students will continue working with fractions. There is a divided by 8's test on Friday.
SPELLING
This week covers list 20. Homework for the week is back to normal:
Monday - cursive worksheet
Tuesday - ABC order or Challenge activity 1
Wednesday - 10 sentences or Challenge activity 2
Friday - Final test
**Please make sure all homework is done in spelling journal.
READING
Our time will be spent closely reading nonfiction texts and meeting in small groups to continue working on strategies to help us become strong readers.
ENGLISH
Students will begin our pronoun unit this week.
SCIENCE
Our unit on space continues this week.
SOCIAL STUDIES
The Chicago brochure is due on Monday, April 15. Directions have been sent home explaining this project and many students have even started their final drafts.
