Week of April 19

It was great to see so many of you at Open House on Thursday! Thank you so much for stopping by!



Since Earth Day falls on the 22nd & we have Early Dismissal that day we will be celebrating on April Friday 23.

Students may wear their Earth Day shirts or green shirts & pack a "NO-trash" lunch as well as walk or ride their bike to school & any other great ideas you may have to celebrate this national day!!!


Important upcoming dates:

Progress will be mailed on Tuesday, April 20 if any students are receiving a grade of a D or below

Wednesday, April 21 is Secretaries Day

Thursday, April 22 is an early dismissal at 11:00


Here is the upcoming week in a nutshell:
MATH
Our class will be discussing customary weight and capacity and metric mass and capacity. The test on chapter 22 is not scheduled until Friday, April 30.
LANGUAGE ARTS
In spelling, our final test will lesson 26 is scheduled for Thursday, April 22.
In English, we will be exploring pronouns.
In reading, students will prepare book talks for the books they have started reading recently and we will also begin our poetry unit.
SOCIAL STUDIES
The start of chapter 11 discusses George Washington as president and we will continue onto forming political parties, as well as, Thomas Jefferson.
SCIENCE
We will explore physical change and density this week as we continue through lesson 2 in chapter 14.
