Week of March 9

ISATs are finished! Students worked so hard this week - way to go! Thank you to all of the parents who sent snacks in to make sure our students weren't hungry when they tested.


Parent/Teacher conferences are scheduled on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. If you need a reminder of when you are scheduled, please send me an e-mail. Report cards will be distributed on Tuesday. On Thursday, there is an early dismissal. On Friday, there is no school.









Wednesday is Johnny Appleseed Day. Our class will be collecting as much change as possible until then and will visit http://www.plantabillion.org/ . This website will allow us to plant trees in the Amazon for only $1.00 per tree! I wonder how many we'll be able to plant...







Here is the upcoming week in a nutshell:


Homeroom
In Social Studies, we will spend some time observing the Revolutionary War uniforms and then design our own. In Science, our class will be starting our study of ecosystems.
Math
Our Geometry unit continues; we will be classifying triangles and quadrilaterals, as well as, drawing plane figures.
Language Arts
There will not be a spelling test this week.
We are starting our China unit in Reading and Language Arts.
