Week of February 23

We have 5 days to get through before we get to enjoy another 3-day weekend!

Parents, please be on the lookout for conference confirmation forms. Teachers will be sending these out as soon as we determine our schedules.

Please send in Geospace Field Trip permission forms as soon as possible.

Also, ISAT week is just around the corner. Some students don't have the opportunity to eat a well-balanced breakfast. If you can send in some healthy snacks, the students would certainly appreciate it!

Here is the upcoming week in a nutshell:
Homeroom
Students will be exploring the Declaration of Independence this week. In Science, we are continuing our unit on light. Currently, we are scheduled to be tested on this unit on Friday, February 27. TGFD and a Character Counts assembly are also scheduled during this time.

Math
In addition to reviewing before the ISATs, our class will be using data and statistics to create graphs, comparing data, analyzing graphs and determining the mean, median and mode of data. A quiz covering chapter 9 is scheduled for Friday, February 27.

Language Arts
We will be finishing up our writing conferences, reviewing literary elements to prepare for the ISATs and testing on lesson 21 in Spelling.

Have a great week!
