Week of February 11

With all of the snow we received, it sure did seem like a long week last week!

Our Valentine's party is scheduled for Thursday at 1:30. I will send a class list home with your child on Monday to help with writing all those Valentine's...

Iowa's are next week and I gave each student a Test-Taking First-Aid Kit. The most important component of the kit was the recipe which stated that the best thing to do to boost test-taking skills is to get a good night's rest and eat a healthy, balanced breakfast. If anyone is interested in sending in some healthy snacks that I could leave out throughout the week for students who may have fogotten something to rejuvenate themselves, that would be greatly appreciated!

Because of the Iowa's, there really isn't an overabundance of content work that we will be doing. Reading will be spent preparing for ISATs, we will be working on extended responses, and we will also be learning some facts regarding Valentine's day.

My Math group - I will only see you three days next week and we will be discussing customary units of weight, metric units of length and using these skills to do some problem solving.

No School on Monday, February 18 for President's Day!
